Moving average of Covid cases rises again and shows an increase of 171% in a month

The moving average of Covid-19 cases, which considers the last seven days, rose again and showed a growth of 171% this Wednesday (22), compared to the index registered a month ago, according to data from the National Health Council. Health Secretaries (Conass).

Today the indicator reached 39,852. On May 22, Conass reported that the moving average of infections stood at 14,690.

Last Monday (20), the comparison with the previous month showed an increase of 163% in the mobile contamination index.

The moving average of deaths stood at 120 on Wednesday.

These numbers allow monitoring of the country’s epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing databases.

Only Paraíba did not inform new updates to Conass.

In the last 24 hours, Brazil recorded 140 deaths and 71,906 infections by Covid-19.

In all, the country reached 669,530 fatalities from the disease and 31,890,733 infections by the coronavirus.

Fiocruz indicates possible interruption in the increase in cases of respiratory syndrome

Data from the Infogripe Bulletin, released this Wednesday (22), referring to Epidemiological Week 24 (June 12 to 18, 2022), suggest a possible interruption in the growth trend of cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the formation of plateau. Read more.
