The moving average of deaths from Covid-19 in Brazil rose by 72.3% in one month, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). On June 10th, the indicator (which considers the last seven days) was at 141. This Sunday (10th), it reached 243 – the highest since March 25th.
This is the 13th day in a row that the moving average of deaths from the disease is above 200. The indicator has been on the rise for two consecutive days.
Regarding the number of new cases, the moving average also increased in one month, but in a smaller proportion: the increase was 45.1%, from 39,980 to 58,006.
In the last 24 hours, Brazil recorded 56 deaths and 21,963 new cases of Covid-19. The Federal District and six other states did not provide data for the day: Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima and Tocantins.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the country has recorded 673,610 deaths linked to the coronavirus, in addition to 32,896,464 confirmed infections.
