Moving average of Covid deaths stays above 190 for the second day in a row

The moving average of Covid-19 deaths in Brazil stood at 191 this Sunday (26), according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). It is the second day in a row that the average is above 190.

In the last 24 hours, the country has recorded 36 new deaths, bringing the total since the beginning of the pandemic to 670,405.

According to the update, 16,679 cases were recorded in the last period. The total is 32,078,638 coronavirus infections. The moving average of cases is 53,492.

Moving averages consider the average of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days. The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.
