The Civil Police of the Federal District and the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) launched, this Tuesday (14), the Melinoe operation.
Authorities searched the office of Deputy Daniel Donizet (PL), and the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District, where they are investigating servers accused of signing the time sheet and not showing up for work. And yet, they improve the practice of “splitting”.
Investigations began in 2019 after allegations that the parliamentarian’s office servers were not working.
Employees would also have passed on part of the payment to Deputy Donizet through the chief of staff, in the so-called “split”.
The steps allowed to obtain elements that prove that the civil servants did not appear to work in the Chamber, long before the Covid-19 pandemic – which would demonstrate consistency and compatibility with the information of those who denounced the case.
Eight search and seizure warrants were carried out at the Legislative Chamber, and at addresses of those investigated in the Federal District and Goiás.
The term Melinoe alludes to the Greek goddess of ghosts.
A CNN he approached Congressman Daniel Donizet and the District Chamber for comment on the operation.
In a note, the deputy stated “very calmly, that the accusations are completely unfounded.” “I still haven’t had access to the police investigation to understand what motivated the searches carried out”, he added.
Daniel Donizet informed that he is in contact with his lawyer, and as soon as he has the contents of the investigations, he will publish a clarification note.
The District Chamber has not yet returned the request of the CNN.
