The Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG) reported this Tuesday (19) that it had filed a complaint against a woman posing as a nurse and five other people involved in the marketing and application of alleged doses of vaccines against Covid-19.
The case took place in early 2021, a time when only the elderly and health professionals were receiving immunizations against the disease, and hundreds of people would have been victims of the coup.
However, only two entered with representation in relation to the crime of embezzlement. The MPMG complaint was presented to Justice on April 8, 2022 by the 12th Criminal Justice Prosecutor of Belo Horizonte.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, those involved moved around R$ 700,000 and will be responsible for crimes of criminal association, embezzlement, money laundering, use of false documents and misrepresentation.
In addition, it was also requested that the two people who made the complaint for embezzlement receive at least BRL 2,280 and BRL 6,500, respectively, as compensation for the damage caused.
The complaint explains that the woman was not qualified to practice nursing, but even so, she pretended to be a health professional and “prepared and applied substances she described as immunizing against Covid-19, using the name of the Pfizer laboratory, (… ) when, in fact, the substance applied was saline”.
The defense of the “false nurse” told the CNN that he “did not have access to the complaint” and that he will manifest himself “in due course” in the process.
Also according to the MPGM, she also filled in the victims’ vaccination cards and ensured that the receipt was delivered to whoever received the applications.
The sale of the alleged vaccines against Covid-19 were made in the name of the company Vaccinando, and the accused was presented as its legal representative, although she was not.
The text also highlights that she gave the victims her own bank account and that of relatives for payments, which were made through Pix, TED, bank deposit and cash.
