The Santa Catarina Public Prosecution Service (MPSC) denounced the 56 -year -old man suspected of beating a 29 -year -old woman who pretended to be dead to flee in Blumenau, in the Itajaí Valley for attempted femicide. The crime, which occurred at the end of March, runs in a secret of justice. With the receipt of the complaint, the accused responds as a defendant in criminal action.
According to the 8th Blumenau Prosecutor’s Office, the crime was committed with asphyxiation, brutally and in a situation that made the victim’s defense impossible.
According to the prosecution, the woman was hanged and placed unconscious in the vehicle itself. In recovering consciousness, she pretended to be dead and, in a moment of distraction from the aggressor, locked the vehicle, turned on the engine and managed to escape.
During the escape, the man entered his car and chased the victim, colliding with her vehicle. He was arrested shortly thereafter, on BR-101 in Balneário Piçarras, and is still detained at the Blumenau Regional Prison.
The prosecutor points out that the crime would have been motivated by jealousy after the perpetrator monitored the woman through a tracker installed in her car and concluding that she was elsewhere, unlike what she had said.
Case
The victim was beaten by a friend with whom she had been leaving for dinner on March 31, 2024. According to police, the woman pretended to be dead after the assaults and managed to escape the criminal. At the time, she told police that the suspect acted suddenly as she applied a “dandelive” at the time of farewell between them.
According to the victim, the suspect claimed that he would kill her, with the justification that she would find someone else. Moreover, he said he never had a relationship with the man, just a friendship.
After the aggressions, the woman pretended to have died inside her own vehicle. Then the man tried to enter the vehicle through the driver’s seat. Upon noticing the suspect’s action, she locked the car doors and drove to the family home.

According to the Civil Police, the woman came home with a disfigured face and shouts of help. She suffered several fractures on her face, scratches on her body and is still hospitalized for surgery.
