The Public Ministry of São Paulo (MPSP) denounced the doctor Renato Kalil for the crime of light injury and psychological violence in the case involving influencer and businesswoman Shantal Verdelho.
The complaint, signed by prosecutors Fabiana Dal Mas and Silvia Chakian, asks for compensation of BRL 100,000 for the alleged crimes.
At the time the case came to light, at the end of last year, Verdelho’s advice informed that the facts would have happened on September 13, 2021, at Hospital São Luiz, during the businesswoman’s normal delivery, performed by Kalil, who specializes in the type of operation.
A video in which Kalil allegedly cursed the influencer during childbirth went viral on social media at the time, as did audios in which the influencer denounced him. According to Shantal’s advice, they were leaked from a private group.
In a publication in stories on Instagram this Tuesday (25), without making any mention of the case, Shantal vented about recognizing errors. “Imagine when the world evolves a little bit, and people will make mistakes, but they will recognize their mistakes, apologize for them and pay for them”, said the influencer.
THE CNN tried to contact Renato Kalil’s defense and is awaiting a return.
