MPF charged Anac for irregularities in the company of the plane that crashed with Marília Mendonça

In June of this year, the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Goiás sent a factual notice – a kind of administrative procedure – to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), asking the agency to comment on the failure to inspect alleged irregularities of the PEC company. Táxi Aéreo, owner of the plane that crashed in Caratinga-MG this Friday (5th), in the accident that caused the death of singer Marília Mendonça.

According to the complaint attached to the document, the company would not be respecting the working hours and rest regulations for pilots and crew; it would be operating with safety equipment that does not comply with the standards; it would have obtained advantages through illegal means in tenders in the states of Rondônia and Roraima and the aircraft that crashed in Caratinga, with the prefix PT-ONJ, would have had problems with the windshield, which caused visual damage in landings and take-offs.

The document, signed by the Attorney of the Republic Marcello Santiago Wolff, was sent on June 14 and the Federal Public Ministry gave Anac 20 days to provide clarifications. THE CNN awaits answers from Anac, the Federal Public Ministry and PEC Táxi Aéreo, but has not received any feedback until the publication of this report.
