The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) has already taken eight testimonies in the investigation that investigates allegations of sexual harassment by Caixa’s president, Pedro Guimarães, against bank employees, informed CNN sources directly involved in the case.
So far, five victims and three witnesses have been heard who corroborate the reports. The investigations are into alleged crimes of sexual harassment and sexual harassment. New testimonials are scheduled for the end of the month.
Only then should the prosecutor responsible for the case hear Guimarães and others involved and decide whether to present the complaint to the judge. Each case of harassment must be analyzed as a different crime, which increases the penalty in eventual conviction.
According to people directly involved, the alleged cases of harassment took place at the bank’s headquarters in Brasília, but mainly during trips to the countryside for the launch of the Caixa Mais Brasil program.
Reports made by victims include episodes of inappropriate touching, offensive phrases, intimidation and threats of loss of function. Sought after, the president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, did not respond to the contacts of the report.
