Mr. Mitsotakis: I will not endanger the stability of the country, for my party’s interest

The elections will be held at the end of the four-year term, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis repeated on Sky radio – in an ongoing interview – pointing out that early elections now with the problems and challenges that exist will not be a nationally responsible act.

“We must stand with self-criticism, learn from our mistakes and keep our reform momentum alive, in order to continue the implementation of our program. Exactly three years after the elections, we are entering – in any case – a pre-election year. Rich we have legislative programming from September onwards, and we want to cover some of the lost time that was spent in dealing with crises,” said Mr. Mitsotakis.

Demographically, the image of the government throughout the three years is positive, Mr. Mitsotakis estimated, while he again referred to the “bomb” of simple proportionality that prevents the formation of a government after the first ballot, in a difficult period.

“We have a strong parliamentary majority and my obligation is to ensure the stability of the country. I am determined to take any cost, I will not jeopardize the stability of the country to serve my party interest. At the end of four years the world will see what SYRIZA succeeded in its four years of government and what about us” he said.
