MSI this week introduced the MPG Artymis 273CQR-QD and MPG Artymis 273CQRX-QD monitors, which use 27-inch quantum dot concave panels (QD Premium Color technology). As for the type of panel, in the description the manufacturer says that it is IPS, but the specifications indicate the type is VA. The radius of curvature is 1000R. There is only one difference between the models – MPG Artymis 273CQR-QD supports refresh rates up to 165 Hz, and MPG Artymis 273CQRX-QD – up to 240 Hz.

In both cases, the screen resolution is WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels). The monitors support FreeSync Premium Pro adaptive sync technology, and the pixel response time is declared equal to 1 ms. Typical brightness is 400 cd/m2, peak brightness is 530 cd/m2. The monitors are Display HDR 400 certified. Claimed to cover 128% sRGB color space, 93% Adobe RGB color space and 95% DCI-P3 color space. Monitors are shipped calibrated with Delta E ≤ 2.


The equipment includes a Display 1.2a input, two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode support and PD (5 V x 3 A) that complies with the USB 2.0 specification. In addition, there is a headphone output, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and one USB 2.0 Type-B.
The monitors are aimed at gamers and are endowed with features such as MSI Optix Scope, Smart Crosshair and Night Vision and KVM.
