The Mato Grosso Civil Police (PCMT) launched, on Friday (28), the Unfollow Operation, which aims at a digital influencer identified by the corporation as a member of a criminal faction. Jefferson Ryan, 22, used social networks to commit and promote crimes.

The agents learned of an Instagram profile in which contents of the drug trafficking faction, extortion against traders and criminals promotion were published.

Influencer house were seized portions of marijuana, precision scale and a communicator radio used by the members of the faction. Jefferson, who would be known as the “bullet train” by the group, and a fellow were arrested to return from a party that police believe other members would be present.

PCMT points out that the suspect would be a “trafficking manager” and promoted shows at a nightclub in Sorriso, a municipality 420 kilometers from Cuiabá, while working in the drug trade.

In one of the posts, he invites young people to join trafficking as a kind of “commercial representatives” of drugs. The profile was also used to intimidate and threaten traders to make periodic payments to criminals, at the risk of having their trades destroyed or even death.

The delegate responsible for the investigation, Bruno França, evaluates that there is no doubt about the identity of the suspect, the amount of crimes he commits in an endemic manner and his severe.

“Publications show that he apparently is proud to integrate criminal organization, taking photos alongside other group members, posting faction rules and informatives and encouraging war between rival groups,” the delegate said.
