Multiplan records net income of R$ 239 million in the 4th quarter; up 11.9%

Multiplan had a net profit of BRL 239.027 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period of 2021.

The company had a recovery in the flow of visitors and sales after the hardest period of the pandemic, obtaining higher revenues from rentals from tenants and parking lots.

Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) amounted to R$ 374.563 million, growth of 31.3% on the same basis of annual comparison. The Ebitda margin rose 9.1 percentage points to 73.1%.

FFO (net income excluding depreciation, amortization and non-cash effects) was R$ 343.426 million, an increase of 11.4%. The FFO margin shrank 2.1 percentage points to 67.0%.

Net revenue totaled R$ 512.355 million, an increase of 14.9%. Leasing revenue grew 12.6%, to R$497.949 million, and parking revenue jumped 19.3%, to R$75.436 million.

Multplan’s net debt in the fourth quarter of the year reached R$2.081 billion, a stable amount compared to the third quarter.

Leverage (measured by the ratio between net debt and Ebitda) was 1.6 times, compared to 3.06 times a year earlier. The company had R$ 1.028 billion in cash.
