The 31st edition of the Multishow Awards takes place on Tuesday (3) and promises to celebrate the main names in national music. The ceremony will take place at Riocentro, located in the west of Rio de Janeiro, starting at 8:45 pm.
Leading the nominations this year is singer Liniker, driven by the success of “Caju”, an album she released in August. The São Paulo native competes in 11 different categories, including some of the main ones, such as TVZ Clip of the Year, Hit of the Year, Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. Anitta, Gloria Groove and Pabllo Vittar appear soon after with five nominations.
Tadeu Schmidt, Tatá Werneck and Kenya Sade will lead the awards ceremony that will be broadcast live on Multishow and will also be shown on TV Globo after the episode of “Mania de Você”. Check out the full list of nominees here.
Anitta and Ivete Sangalo lead the ranking of most awarded artists in the event’s history, with 20 wins each, and can expand their lead. The Rio native was nominated for TVZ Clip of the Year (“Mil Veces”), Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“Funk Generation”), Cover of the Year (“Funk Generation”) and Funk of the Year (“Joga Pra Lua”, with Dennis DJ and Pedro Sampaio. Ludmilla, and “Seus Recados”, with Liniker).
The voice of “Bellakeo” and “Envolver” is also the record holder for nominations in all editions of the Multishow Awards, having competed for 60 trophies; the Bahian comes next with 56. In both cases, it is Luan Santana who completes the podium, with 44 nominations and 12 wins.
