Three women and one man were injured after being hit by a bus on Tuesday afternoon (18), on Miguel Estefano Avenue, in the Saúde neighborhood, in the south of São Paulo.
According to the Public Security Bureau (SSP), the bus, which made the Metrô Conceição line – Vila Carrão Terminal, broke into the sidewalk and ran over the victims. The vehicle stopped only when it collided with a post on the public road.

According to the Health Department, the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) met the occurrence. A man was referred to the Ipiranga Hospital and a woman taken Municipal Hospital Doctor Arthur Ribeiro de Saboya. A third victim was rescued by the Fire Department.
The driver of the vehicle refused to perform the breathalyzer test and said the vehicle skidded due to wet asphalt as a result of the rain. Expert examinations were requested from the Civil Police and the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) to find a possible change in the driver’s psychomotor capacity.
In a statement, SPTrans reported that a team from the transport accident reduction program investigates the occurrence and the operator was advised to provide support to the victims.
The case was registered as a guilty bodily injury towards a motor vehicle in the 16th Police District (Vila Clementino).
