The Municipality of Porentroui in Switzerland prohibited entry for most foreigners in the public pool of the city, following complaints about women’s harassment and incidents of violence. According to a spokesman for the municipality, access to public pools is allowed for foreigners only with a special card, which can only be purchased if they have a hotel or campsite in the area. Many of the rioters come from “problematic areas beyond the border,” the spokesman said, referring to France.
