The citizens of Athens can now easily, quickly and without any hassle issue the certificate of non-debt of Real Estate Tax (TAP) from the Municipality of Athens.
The digital service of the Municipality, which was launched two years ago and has already received more than 31,000 applications, is being upgraded and makes the life of Athenians easier, allowing them to automatically receive the coveted certificate.
Until today, the interested parties had to submit an electronic application to the Municipality and then wait for the “green light” from the services for the issuance of the relevant decision.
This wait caused serious “arrhythmias” in the daily lives of property owners and market professionals, as valuable time was lost until the transfer process was completed.
From today, however, the waiting time is zero, as after completing the necessary details of the contracted and the transferred property, the interested parties can immediately have the certificate in their hands immediately.
The way to upgrade this valuable service for the citizens, was opened last Wednesday with the relevant decision (no. 203 / 28-3-2022) of the Municipal Council of Athens.
The new service is available on the digital services platform of the Municipality of Athens https://eservices.cityofathens.gr and the login is done using the taxisnet codes.
At the same time, to check the authenticity of the certificate, there is a QR code in the document issued by the platform, which, if scanned, confirms the validity of the document.
“The period when the Athenians devoted endless time to issue a simple certificate from the services of the Municipality is a thing of the past. We managed to change the philosophy of serving the citizen, utilizing technology to their advantage. Through DAEM SA, we have created 138 “digital services, which put an end to the torturous bureaucracy and radically change the relationship of the Municipality with the citizens. We do not stop here, we continue”, says in a statement the Mayor of Athens, Costas Bakogiannis.
The implementation of the plan of the Municipality of Athens for the transition of Athens to the new digital age is progressing at an intensive pace, making it a “smart and durable” city, which makes easier the daily life of citizens and professionals in their transactions with the services of the Municipality.
