The arrest of Claudio Cesaris, accused of the murder of Tarquinia in which the biologist Dario Angeletti lost his life, has been validated. The decision was made by the GIP of the Civitavecchia court following Cesaris’s confession that he allegedly admitted having shot. Awaiting Cesaris is now the prison, waiting for the trial to begin.
Confession after attempting to hide the evidence
Cesaris’s confession comes after a rather careful attempt to obliterate the evidence linking him to the murder. It seems, in fact, that the alleged murderer took a shower in a short time, as well as put the clothes he was wearing in the washing machine, to erase any traces of gunpowder from his skin and fabrics. An element that would have immediately linked him to the killing of Dario Angeletti, the fifty-year-old associate professor in Ecology at the University of Tuscia, found lifeless inside his car, parked with the door open in the Tarquinia Saline parking lot. . The cameras in the parking lot would have caught the alleged murderer as he walked away from the crime scene.
Cesaris’s expertise in erasing the traces of the shooting could derive from his professional experience as a laboratory technician at the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the University of Pavia.
Another headache for the investigators is represented by themurder weapon. Yes, because the bullet that hit Angeletti does not correspond to those of the weapon registered in the name of Cesaris, a lover of hunting and weapons.
The possible motive
There are still no mathematical certainties on the reasons that would have led Cesaris to this gesture, even if the passionate trail is probable. The 68-year-old was obsessed with a young researcher who had worked for years at the University of Pavia, where they had met; since the summer of 2020, however, the girl, having won a competition, had continued her academic career in the Department of Biological Sciences of the University of Tuscia. Right here he was a colleague of Angeletti, with whom, however, there does not seem to be a romantic relationship despite some departmental collaborators having found a great similarity, an affinity, between the two.
The mystery of the Misterbianco case
On the other hand, the murder of the young Giovanna (called by many Jenny) Cantarero, which took place in the streets of Misterbianco, in the province of Catania, has yet to be deciphered. He was leaving the bakery where he worked with a friend when a motorcycle stopped in front of the shop and several gunshots were fired. The surviving girl, in shock, has not yet been able to reveal details about the murderer. Investigators are investigating Cantarero’s private life, who leaves behind a small child. At the moment, despite having tried, they have not been able to track down the ex-partner.
