A 35-year-old mother was killed by stone from the hand of the father of her 2-year-old son on a beach in Maine, when he saw her “making a gesture to another man”.
Police arrested Jeffrey Buchannan for murder when they found 35-year-old Rhonda Pattelena dead behind a rock on a busy Maine beach.
The forensic report confirmed homicide, talking about a head injury.
Police received multiple calls from eyewitnesses for the attack. The perpetrator stated that he was “blurred” by his jealousy when he saw his partner talking to a man on the beach.
County Judge Wayne R. Douglas remanded him in custody without order and ordered a psychiatric examination. Eyewitnesses saw him walking from the beach after the deadly attack.
