Murders at Villa Pamphili, the mother of Anastasia Trofimova: “My daughter had a brilliant career here in Russia, she left her job to go to live with Rexal Ford, who isolated her from everyone”

There is a story of isolation, control and silence behind the double murder of Villa Pamphili, in Rome. On June 7, the bodies of Anastasia Trofimova, 29 years old, and her daughter Andromeda, were found lifeless in the park. The man they lived with, Rexal Ford (one of the many names that has been given Charles Francis Kaufmann), is today the main suspect: he was arrested in Volos on charges of double murder.

To really tell who was really Anastasia is his mother, Tatiana, who lives in Siberia, in WHOSK, where her daughter was born and raised too. Interviewed by Who saw it?reconstructed the tragic story of her daughter, passed From a brilliant career in Russia to an invisible lifecontrolled and isolated, up to the tragic epilogue in Italy.

“My daughter worked as a manager in a Moscow company, we felt every day,” says Tatiana. “He had studied, he graduated. He worked in the construction sector, mainly dealt with schools. ” During a trip to Malta, in 2023, while he was on vacation, Anastasia meets Charles Francis Kaufmann and begins to attend him. When she returns to Russia, at the end of the holidays, he begins to press her, calls her every day and, in the end, convinces her to move. “In the end she did it and went to live in Malta.” From that moment, the mother tells, a progressive loss of contacts begins.

One day Anastasia “he called me and told me he had become a mother. I was very happy ». But even that happy moment is wrapped in ambiguous details: “He told me that he gave birth to the house, in Malta; A midwife followed her who paid 200 euros».

The couple thinks of moving: first the idea of Germany, then Italy. Anastasia, in Malta, takes the name of Stella. The messages with the mother arrive filtered from the partner’s phone: “He only contacted me with his husband’s cell phone, he told me they were fine,” explains Tatiana.

In the program a video was broadcast in which Anastasia Trofimova, in a tired voice, told of future projects and He asked his mother if the father’s relatives could host them in Germany: “Europe costs dear,” he said.

Tatiana was convinced that the daughter lived for rent, in a room in the Vatican area. “He never told us that they lived on the street. Maybe he didn’t want to worry», Explains the mother. On May 24, in a video, Kaufmann showed money and credit cards: «To reassure us that they had everything necessary. Anastasia translated his words ».

Then the contacts stop. “For days any news lost and I thought of turning to the authorities,” says the woman. “Then, on June 2, I received an email:” Mom, I had problems with Rexal, but I’m trying to solve them “.” A few days later, on June 5, Tatiana wrote again, worried about the eruption of Etna: “I knew it was in Italy.” But it does not receive an answer.

On June 7 the two corpses are found, but Tatiana does not know. He wrote a new message on June 9th. But the mobile phone has only one check. It is off: Charles Francis Kaufmann has already fled to Greece.

To help Tatiana to discover the truth is a social comment, written in Cyrillic, on the Facebook page of Who saw it?. The authors of the program get in touch with Anastasia’s mother thanks to Ekaterina’s interventiona friend of the family, to whom Tatiana had asked for help to try to get information. “We can’t see everything you share from Europe on the internet,” explains Ekaterina. But he manages to notice a news from Rome, that of a woman found dead, who had tattoos: a skull on a surfboard, two birds, flowers. Tatiana recognizes them: she is her daughter. And it comes into contact with the transmission.

Rexal Ford isolated my daughter, forcing her to live together with the girl as ghosts». Tatiana says that Kaufmann did not allow Anastasia to communicate with anyone. “My daughter left her job and abruptly interrupted relationships with friends, family and other people he knew.”

Charles Francis Kaufmann, arrested in Greece on a European mandate, during the interrogation with the Italian magistrates made use of the right not to answer. The only sentence pronounced: “I’m innocent, I want to talk first with my lawyer».
