Musician memorabilia to be auctioned to support the music industry

Coming under the hammer are Eminem’s Nike Air Max and the all-black ensemble worn by BTS’s j-hope in photos promoting his solo album Jack In The Box last year. These and other memorabilia of music greats come in auction with the aim of raising money to support workers in the music industry. This year’s MusiCares Charity Relief Auction is co-organized with Julien’s Auctions and will take place on February 5th.

Expected, the guitars up for auction: a Gibson Les Paul electric signed by all five of Fleetwood Mac, a black Epiphone acoustic autographed by Springsteen, Graham Nash and others who attended the 2015 Bob Dylan tribute concert, an Epiphone signed by by Taylor Swift and emblazoned with artwork of her evermore album cover.

At the center of interest is a framed and signed copy of Joni Mitchell’s Jimi Hendrix-themed oil painting. It depicts Hendrix setting fire to his guitar, as he did at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, with golden angel wings on his back, and is estimated to fetch up to $20,000, reports APE-MPE.

From February 1 to 3 the objects will be exhibited at Julien’s Auctions headquarters in California.
