The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, used his official account on the platform this Saturday (3) to say that there is a possibility that the former social network team has privileged candidates in the Brazilian elections.
“I have seen many worrying tweets about the recent elections in Brazil. If these tweets are accurate, it’s possible that people on Twitter gave preference to leftist candidates.
Musk, who announced in late October that he had finalized the purchase of the chain, has provided no evidence for his statement.
A few days after the acquisition of Twitter by the billionaire, the platform reported that it laid off 50% of its employees. At the time, Musk mandated that employees commit to “long hours of high-intensity work” or leave.
The purchase of the social network was negotiated for months until it was concluded for a value of US$ 44 billion.
