A “health incident” in its capital Vietnam resulted in a three-hour delay in the arrival of the US Vice President Kamala Harris in Hanoi, as announced by the US Embassy.
An NBC reporter said at least two American workers in Hanoi were to leave Vietnam after the weekend, just days before Harris arrived. “Havana Syndrome” events recorded.
Josh Linderman, citing US officials, claimed that these incidents included “strange sounds”.
“The departure of the Vice President’s delegation from Singapore was delayed because her services were informed of information about a recent, potentially unusual health incident in Hanoi,” the embassy said in a statement. The term “unusual medical condition” is commonly used to describe “Havana Syndrome,” a mysterious disease that has plagued American diplomats not only in Cuba but also in many other countries.
“After a thorough examination (of the situation), the decision was made to continue the vice-president’s trip,” the embassy added.
Earlier, from Singapore, where she paid a two-day visit, Harris accused China of intimidating countries bordering the South China Sea, according to Reuters and Agence France-Presse, and rebroadcast the Athenian News Agency. He also called for greater international cooperation to address the shortage of semiconductors (chips).
