Mystery in Valle d'Aosta, the girl found dead in the ruined church is still unnamed

He seemed to be sleeping. This is what the people said – in a small ruined church in the uninhabited village of Equilivaz, in La Salle, between Aosta and Courmayeur – they found the body of a murdered girl. The victim has not yet been identified: she is approx about twenty years old and could be French, or at least foreign. She was killed with wounds to the abdomen and a deep cut to the throat. The chapel can be reached with a short walk from state road 26. And right at the edge of that road, residents had noticed, days ago, a burgundy van parked with the awning up. Investigators are also asking local shops and bars for information about a couple who were spotted between the municipalities of La Salle and Arvier last week. Based on testimonies, he spoke Italian with a foreign accent, and she wore the same clothes – leggings and sweatshirt – of the woman found dead in the chapel.
