The President of the Republic of Cyprus N. Anastasiadis went to the Presidential Palace in Jerusalem in the morning, where he was received by the President of the country Mr. Isaac Herzog.
The meeting took place in view of the tripartite Cyprus-Greece-Israel Summit, which is being held today.
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Palace, President Anastasiadis signed the Guestbook, in which he wrote, among other things:
“I express my heartfelt wishes for a successful, fruitful term in office to the 11th President of the State of Israel, my good friend Issac, and I assure you of my firm commitment to continuing our cooperation, with the aim of reaching new levels of strong cooperation between Cyprus. and Israel.
“A partnership of geostrategic importance and with huge prospects for our countries, for our people and for the region, and which expresses the vision of peace, stability and collective security.”
In his message, the President of the Republic also referred to the family ties that the new President of Israel has with Cyprus, since his ancestors are closely related to the island.
