In no other European state or in any other state around the world do similar claims apply, such as those raised either in Cran Montana or earlier, said the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, in his greeting at an event of the Limassol Reserve Officers Association. The President of the Republic of Cyprus reiterated that we ask to be independent from any guarantees, to get rid of any occupying troops, to create a truly independent and sovereign state that is not controlled by third parties, that does not turn into a protectorate of a power that through the claims he asserts, in essence he wants to control the manner of making or any decisions the state will make.
