N. Androulakis: Targeted measures for the most vulnerable to energy accuracy

The need to take targeted measures to protect the most vulnerable citizens against energy precision was pointed out by the President of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, during his special intervention last night at the Extraordinary Meeting of the Environment Committee with the Vice President of the European Union. on the measures to be presented by the European Commission to de-escalate the European economy from Russian gas and to deal with increases in energy prices.

“It is a crisis that no country can face alone. That is why we need supranational financial instruments of solidarity between states to deal with large increases, with targeted measures to protect our most vulnerable citizens,” said Mr. Androulakis. adding that the solution is the creation of common strategic reserves, infrastructure and pipelines such as EastMed, the decoupling from the imported natural gas as well as the immediate substantial penetration of the Renewable Energy Sources in the energy mixture. “The stronger the penetration of renewable energy sources in our energy mix, the more resistant we will be to international crises,” said Mr. Androulakis.
