“Greece wants to be part of Ghana’s future,” said Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, who is visiting the African country in an interview with local television.
As he pointed out, this is the first time that a Greek minister visits Ghana. “What I see is a young African country that is doing the best it can and is on its way to a very bright future,” he added.
“We would like to work together, we would like to take our mutual friendship to a new level, to promote it,” he said.
Mr. Dendias delivered 150,000 vaccines against the coronavirus, as an expression of Greece’s solidarity with Ghana and its people.
He pointed out that Greece and Ghana are naval peoples and “thus, this common denominator can create a very bright future for us and we can work together in all ways, in the field of energy, through the Greek navy, which is the largest in the world, we can really work together on how to bring to Ghana the know-how of renewable energy, energy saving and also tourism, in which we have one of the best industries in the world “.
“There are many things we can do together. There are many synergies that can be built. But this requires human contact and also financial contact. We need to put flesh into the bones of our very good and friendly relationship.”
“We share the same principles, but we need positive work. You have a young, very dynamic population. This is the best chapter for the future,” he concluded.
