Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will pay a three-day visit to Bahrain (Manama) from tomorrow, in order to participate in the annual “Manama Dialogue” forum (November 19-21, 2021).
During his stay in Bahrain, the Foreign Minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials of the country.
In particular, he is scheduled to meet on Monday with his counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani. According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the talks are expected to cover mainly bilateral relations, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Gulf region and Libya, as well as Greece’s cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Following the meeting, the Foreign Minister is expected to be received by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
During his stay in Bahrain, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue Forum, Nikos Dendias is also scheduled to meet tomorrow with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and then with Israeli National Security Adviser Eyal Hulata.
On Sunday, the Foreign Minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan, Masrour Barzani, and then with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi. On the same day he will participate in the work of the annual forum “Manama Dialogue” and in particular in the discussion on “Conflict Termination in the Wider Region”.
