Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is paying a working visit to Cyprus today.
As part of his visit, Mr. Dendias will have a one-on-one meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Ioannis Kasoulidis, while further consultations will follow with the participation of delegations from the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. At the end of the consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Nicosia, the two ministers will give statements to the press (at 13:40).
At the heart of the discussions of Mr. Kasoulidis and Dendias are expected to discuss, among other things, bilateral relations and the framework for further deepening cooperation on national, regional and international issues, the Cyprus issue and the way in which the Greek Cypriot side perceives the next steps, the intensifying Turkish provocation, the consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the EU’s coordinated response, multilateral cooperation formations in the Eastern Mediterranean region and the wider Middle East, as well as other regional issues of common interest.
During his presence in Cyprus, the Foreign Minister of Greece will address the annual Summit of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Cyprus.
