N. Dendias in the Dead Sea for the EU-Jordan Association Council

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, is in the Dead Sea, in order to participate in the 14th EU-Jordan Association Council.

The agenda includes a discussion on EU-Jordan relations and progress on the implementation of the Association Agreement, the adoption of new EU partnership priorities in Jordan, as well as regional and international issues, according to a Foreign Ministry post on twitter.

From the EU member states, in addition to the Greek Foreign Minister, the Foreign Ministers of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulidis, Ireland, Simon Coveney, and Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, are also expected to participate in the Association Council. ).

Following the conclusion of the Association Council, the Foreign Minister will attend a hearing which is expected to be given at 12:00 by the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, to the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, at EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and the three EU Foreign Ministers.

Mr. Dendias will participate, at 13:30, in a working lunch that will be given by the Jordanian Foreign Minister to the above high-ranking EU officials and foreign ministers.
