N. Dendias informs the UAE Foreign Minister about the Turkish provocation

During his visit to Abu Dhabi, he met with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, as part of the agreement signed between the two countries on the Joint Cooperation Agreement. Foreign Policy and Defense.

As Nikos Dendias from Abu Dhabi stated shortly before the meeting, he will inform his Emirati counterpart “about what we are facing in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish provocation and the questioning of the sovereignty of the Greek islands in the Aegean”.

From there, he noted, the two foreign ministers will make an assessment of the recent investment, economic forum held in Athens, “with great success”, which concerns UAE investments in the Greek economy, but also a general overview of the region after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also the situation in Syria, Libya, the Sahel and the Middle East in general.

Finally, the Foreign Minister highlighted the role of the United Arab Emirates in the wider region. The UAE has a very important role to play in the wider region and has already proven its role as a dynamic bridge between Greece and India, Nikos Dendias underlined.

The two ministers will meet in person and will have extended talks, as well as a working dinner.
