Nikos Dendias addressed the staff during the debate in the Parliament on the Ukrainian issue, on the occasion of reports by the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Change, Michalis Katrinis, about a meeting – “fiasco” of N. Dendias with Sergei Lavrov.
Responding to Mr. Katrinis, the Foreign Minister stated, among other things:
“I can not allow you to describe me as a ‘fiasco’ for my meeting with Lavrov. What exactly are you blaming us for? That we did not anticipate the Russian invasion? Then you will accuse Mr Macron and others of the same.
However, commenting on a report by Alexis Tsipras, he said to the leader of the official opposition: “You clearly said that if there was a disagreement between the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister, he would have dismissed me and it is obvious that reports indicate my disagreement with the Prime Minister lack seriousness “.
