N. Dendias is going to Cyprus tomorrow

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will be in the Republic of Cyprus tomorrow in order to participate in the 17th annual Conference of “The Economist” magazine, on “Working towards a secure environment for sustainable recovery”, according to a relevant announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will participate in the panel with the topic “Can the potential of peace and co-operation prevail in the Eastern Mediterranean? – Adherence to the international law: Is it a sufficient condition for peace in the region?” (Can the prospect of peace and cooperation prevail in the Eastern Mediterranean? – Observance of international law: Is it a sufficient condition for peace in the region?)

During his stay in Cyprus, Mr. Dendias will have talks with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulidis. Statements to the press will follow at approximately 13:20.

The talks are expected to cover coordination on all issues, such as developments in the Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean.

Cooperation in multilateral formats is also expected to be discussed, as well as the results of the current Foreign Affairs Council, where the issue of Varos will be discussed.
