After the meeting with Analena Burbok that took place earlier in Athens, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias went to Paris, where he met with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna.
This is the first meeting between the foreign ministers of Greece and France after the formation of a new government in France, following the parliamentary elections in June.
On the agenda of the first meeting of the two ministers are the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Greece and France, the new European security architecture, the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean in the light of yesterday’s visit of N. Dendias to Cyprus and also to Libya, the Sahel, the situation in the Western Balkans, as well as the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
After the talks between the foreign ministers and their delegations, the two ministers will make joint statements to the press.
