On Monday, August 29, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will hold a meeting with the special envoy of the American President for Climate and former Secretary of State John Kerry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (12:15).
During the meeting, it is expected to discuss the taking of initiatives for the protection of the marine environment and in particular the organization by Greece of the International Conference “Our Ocean Conference” in 2024, according to a relevant announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Also, further perspectives of bilateral cooperation are expected to be examined.
This will be the second meeting, within a few months, of the foreign minister with the US president’s special climate envoy. Their meeting was preceded by the previous May in Washington.
