N. Dendias: Nicosia cannot remain the only divided capital of Europe

Cyprus remains an unresolved issue of illegal occupation, despite the successive decisions of the United Nations Security Council and global condemnation, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias emphasizes in his message on the 48th anniversary of the second phase of “Attila’s” invasion. He underlines that the only solution is the Bi-communal Bizonal Federation, within the framework defined by the relevant decisions of the Security Council,

Also, Nikos Dendias declares that Greece will continue to stand by the side of the Republic of Cyprus as always and that Nicosia cannot remain the only divided capital of Europe.

In detail, in his posts on social media, the Minister of Foreign Affairs states: “48 years since the second phase of the invasion of “Attila”. The Cyprus issue remains an unresolved issue of illegal occupation, despite the successive decisions of the United Nations Security Council and the worldwide condemnation. The only solution is the Bi-Community Bizonal Federation, within the framework defined by the relevant decisions of the Security Council. Greece will continue to stand by the side of the Republic of Cyprus as always. Nicosia cannot remain the only divided capital of Europe”.
