N. Martinou’s Thenamaris acquired the Tanker with the number 100 of its fleet

The tanker “Seapromise” cut the ribbon of 100 ships in the water of the company Thenamaris which belongs to the family of Dinos Martinos and is managed by Nicolas Martinos.

Within three weeks the company received two ships, and out of the 98 its fleet numbered, it now belongs to the very closed group of 100 ships, breaking the barriers of the first hundred on the ships owned by it.

The newly built MR2 tanker “Seapromise”, with a capacity of 54,300 dwt, was received last week, and according to the company, the “Seapromise” was built at the Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding shipyard.

With the addition of Seapromise, Thenamaris’s tanker fleet, according to its website, stands at 64 in operation and a total of 67 if three are added.

Thenamaris also controls a fleet of 22 bulk carriers, 20 in operation and two under construction. It also has two containerships, a fleet of five LNG Carriers and eight LPG Carriers. At the same time, the total fleet of Thenamaris still has 2 containerships, 5 LNGCs and 8 LPGCs.

A few weeks ago, Thenamaris received another newly built tanker, the Seaduchess. This tanker is a VLCC type, with a capacity of about 310,000 dwt. Its construction was completed in 2022 at the Japanese shipyards Imabari, while it is equipped with a scrubber.

The company expects within 2022 the delivery of an additional three tankers, with a capacity of 50,291 dwt each, which are built by Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding and will receive the following names: Seadrive, St. Nicholas, St. Helen.

In addition to the three tankers mentioned above, its shipbuilding program includes two bulk carriers whose delivery is expected in 2022. These bulk carriers will have a capacity of 81,400 dwt, are built by Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering and will be named Seabulk and Sea Champion.
