“A process of promoting a legislative authorizing provision for the issuance of a ministerial decision is already underway, which will regulate the care measures for staff facing special and acute problems, as well as the issues of granting discharge after performing 24-hour service.”
This was announced by the Minister of National Defense, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, answering a question submitted to the Parliament by the KKE MPs Nikos Papanastasis and Thanasis Pafilis, on “Working Hours of the Military Regional Unit of Evros”.
At the same time, Mr. Panagotopoulos stated that “for the working hours of the staff, the current institutional framework is strictly observed, while the executives who perform 24-hour overnight services receive the entitled exemptions, as defined in the relevant decision of the Ministry of Defense (F.400 / 32/82424 / Σ.343 / 27-5-2011 (Β΄1139)).
It is reminded that, as he mentioned in his answer, with (Φ.400 / 163881 / Σ.4187 / 8-9-2011 decision ΥΕΘΑ (Β΄2156)) the time of beginning and end of the work of the personnel of the military units and services was determined of the Ministry of the Interior, which implement a five-day weekly work of forty hours. In addition, the Chiefs of the General Staff, General Staff, General Staff were given the responsibility of determining the start and end times of military units and their services, which are exempt from the implementation of the five-day weekly work and apply forty (40) hours of weekly work.
Finally, Mr. Panagiotopoulos reiterated that:
– the responsibility for the policy of salaries and allowances belongs to the Ministry of Finance, which specifies it with special laws, based on the respective economic conditions and the applied fiscal policy,
– The salary of the executives is special and for its compilation specific criteria of evaluation of their special employment conditions were taken into account. In this context, recognizing their special role and employment conditions, without working hours or beyond, is granted with par. B of article 127 of law 4472/2017 (AD 74), allowance for special working conditions.
