The development law is expected to start in June with projects that belong to the status of Fair Development Transition, as noted by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Nikos Papathanasis at the conference “Smart Cities – City Connect Conference 2022” which is currently taking place at a central hotel in Athens.
Mr. Papathanasis noted that the “smart city” gives the stigma of the service that the government and the state want to offer to the citizen.
The Deputy Minister noted that the government, from the beginning, created those conditions that led the international business community to trust our country for investments and added that, a “comfort zone” was created between the investor and the state, resulting in today, now, “to have technological champions who not only come to invest but multiply their position in our country”.
He added that unemployment is steadily declining and reiterated the importance the government attaches to the return of Greek scientists to work and create in the country.
Finally, he stated that the Development Law for the areas of special development transition will start in June, he stressed that the goal for the future is to place great emphasis on the development of the region and for this purpose there is the Pissaridis plan, the new NSRF and the program Greece 2.0, which are the main axes for the realization of the vision.
