Singer Naldo Benny was involved in a controversy this Friday (27), after a video went viral and in it the singer allegedly charged R$50 from a fan to take photos.
After receiving several comments on his social networks criticizing him, Naldo spoke out about the video.
“I never charged to take a photo with anyone or video. That’s a joke, the video really exists, it’s everywhere in the world. […] I already imagined it, but I’m coming here to bring my truth about this controversy”, said the singer.
“[…] Strawberry Shortcake time [esposa], he even shouts: ‘make a pix there’. I have a habit of joking with people: ‘Today is not Saturday, Saturday is R$100 reais, today is R$50 reais’, but it was a joke. The person who made the video knows this is a joke,” she said.
“Out of pure evil, to gain likes and views, he posted the video, cut it at the moment and let it happen, because right after that I said: ‘It’s a joke, bro, you can take the photo right here, there’s no charge’. We had come from another event, had a little drink, were playing with everyone, full of influencers. And this influencer, I think that’s it, wants likes and views”, said Naldo.
“And a video with a public person, with expression, will gain a lot of visibility. This made his ego happy, but this is very bad for me”, he said.

Naldo then published other videos declaring that fans who have followed his musical career since the beginning know that he wouldn’t do something like that.
“Anyone who is a true fan knows that I never did that. I have years of career, if I did this it wouldn’t be just this person who would post this video, many other people would speak out now saying: ‘He charged me too’ […] I don’t care about this type of stop, I even think it’s a joke”, he stated.
“So, why do we, who are artists, say that it is bad when there is a comment that offends us, is it a problem or is it being weak? It’s f##k for us who are artists to have to put up with a type of stupid comment like this in a joke video, I’ve already read everything, I don’t even want to repeat it”, said the singer about the accusations he’s been receiving.
