Named the best-selling cars in the world in 2022. 4 out of 10 – one company

Analysts from the global automotive consulting company Focus2move named the world’s best-selling car models in 2022. Toyota’s mid-size sedan has become a bestseller for a year in a row. This, of course, is about the Toyota Corolla, which is in the lead by a wide margin from its competitors.

Toyota Corolla global sales were 1.12 million units last year, down just 2.2% from 2021, according to Focus2move. Second place in sales, largely due to the success of its hybrid modification, was taken by the Toyota RAV4 crossover, which sold 869,955 units in 12 months of 2022, becoming the best-selling SUV in the world. Compared to 2021, Toyota RAV4 sales fell by 13.8%. The bestseller of the North American market closes the top three – a series of full-size pickup trucks Ford F-Series with annual sales of 786,757 units.

Also in the TOP 10 best-selling cars of 2022, according to Focus2move, two more Toyota cars entered – the Camry sedan, which took fifth place, and the Hilux pickup truck, located on the ninth line. Two electric cars from Tesla also made it to the top ten. These are the Tesla Model Y crossover, whose sales grew by 88.3% over the year, which allowed it to climb up 15 positions in the ranking, and the Model 3 sedan, which increased sales by 4.3% over the year.
