On May 11, a Sony presentation is to be held, at which the company’s new smartphones will be announced. In addition to the flagship model Sony Xperia 1 IV, we are waiting for the announcement of the Xperia 10 IV (pronounced as Ten Mark Four) with a recommended price of 500 euros. The phone will be available in blue, green, purple and white.
Of course, the Xperia 10 IV will hardly be called the most affordable mid-range Android smartphone, but compared to the Xperia 1 IV, it will seem almost cheap. The fact is that the starting price of the Xperia 1 IV should be 1400 euros in Europe or 1400 dollars in the US. At the same time, last year’s Xperia 1 III started at 1,300 euros in Europe and 1,300 dollars in the US. It was because of the high price and excellent camera that the phone was dubbed stunning long before the release.
The Sony Xperia 1 IV is reported to have a new camera with two telephoto lenses and that it will feature a 6.5-inch panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution. The screen is likely to receive Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR support. The phone is expected to be IP68 rated.
The Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone scored 1204 points in single mode and 3352 points in Geekbench multiplayer mode. The benchmark confirmed that the flagship will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system and 12 GB of RAM.
There is no information about the Xperia 5 IV smartphone, which is also due out this year.
