This weekend, the city of São Paulo receives another edition of the Novabrasil festival, which will bring together different generations of MPB in a line-up that includes renowned names such as Nando Reis and frejat, even newbies like Gilsons and Marina Seine.
The event, which takes place both on Saturday (15) and Sunday (16), will occupy the Anhembi Sambadrome, in the north of the city of São Paulo. Tickets are on sale and start at R$100 for one day and R$160 for the full weekend, and can be purchased in this link.
The curatorship of this, which is the 11th edition of the festival, had the theme “Chega de Saudade”, in reference to the music of João Gilberto. See the full schedule below in the article.
The Saturday of the Novabrasil festival will close with a presentation with the stars of the entertainment hub LAB Fantasma – emicida Drik Barbosa, Rael and Evandro Fióti will invite the band Tuyo to the stage.
The first day also includes artists such as Gilberto Gil’s son and grandson trio, the Gilsons, the former couple of the Novos Baianos, Baby do Brasil and Pepeu Gomes in addition to names like Jorge Aragon and Adriana Calcanhotto for example.
On Sunday, the event will end with a performance by the singer Nando Reis . The last day of the festival will also feature concerts by the sambista Diogo Nogueira which will invite rapper Criolo to participate, in addition to the founder of Barão Vermelho, Frejat.
