“Narcogato”: Feline is used to take drugs to prison in Costa Rica

A cat was caught by prison officers carrying two packages of drugs attached to the body on the night of May 6 at the Pococi Penitentiary in Costa Rica.

According to the statement of the penitentiary on Facebook, an officer positioned in one of the strong managed to see the animal in the green zone and immediately sounded the alarm.

Due to the rapid action of the police involved, the cat was captured and the packages have been removed, preventing them from reaching their destination.

The agents inspected the packaging that contained 235.65 grams of marijuana, 67.76 grams of crack paste and two sheets of paper.

The drug was seized and the cat, nicknamed “Narcomichi” (Cáco’s kitten) on social networks, was delivered to the National Animal Health Service (Senasa) for health assessment.
