Nath Finanças provokes Neymar in a post about Income Tax; player responds

Digital influencer Nath Finanças published on Monday (31) a message mocking the accusation of tax evasion related to Pairs Saint-German (PSG) soccer player Neymar. The post, made on the influencer’s Twitter page, said: “Guys, Neymar in my dm TODAY begging you to help declare the Income Tax 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭”.

The provocation was made after Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) won the elections last Sunday (30). Neymar supported the election campaign of his opponent, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who was running for reelection. The player even made a video with Bolsonaro’s campaign jingle and participated in a “super live” promoted by the candidate on the eve of the 1st round.

The joke didn’t go unanswered: this Tuesday (1st), the player replied: “As there are people who like to show up right 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ pqp 🍪”. Nath Finanças then questioned the player’s psychological conditions to deal with the World Cup, given that he “can’t take a little joke”.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the influencer, known for talking about financial education, released a series of content that explains how to file an income tax return.

repercussion

The message exchange received great engagement, and netizens interacted with the message exchange with jokes and defensive comments for both sides. The repercussion was such that Neymar even commented in a tweet of his own about the situation, calling Nath Finanças “someone”.

He added with another tweet, which said: “But I think you are right.
My emotional is weak and I’m a popcorn 😭😞
#irony”

Nath’s provocation was due to the lawsuit against Neymar in the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (Carf) for the player’s debt with the Federal Revenue, which alleged infractions in the athlete’s tax returns, among them, omission of income. As a result, the player’s company received a fine, and the athlete and his father would have met with the president and the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, to talk about the matter.
