NATO and its partners in Asia (South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand) today “unequivocally” condemned North Korea’s involvement alongside Russia in Moscow’s “war of aggression” against Ukraine. “The (North Korean) deployment of thousands of fighters constitutes a dangerous escalation of already substantial support for Russia’s war of aggression, which is being waged, quite illegally, against Ukraine,” the North Atlantic Treaty Organization said in a statement, clarifying that its Asian partners and Ukraine, are drawn up with this text. “The Allies are more determined than ever to support Ukraine for as long as it takes for it to win” against Russia, the statement added. Pyongyang is accused by the West of supplying shells and missiles to the Russian military in its conflict with Ukraine, and thousands of troops have recently been sent to Russian soil.
