NATO “bowed” to Erdogan with Turkey becoming an “indispensable player”

Recep Tayyip Erdogan could be called the big winner of the 75th NATO Summit, as he got what he wanted from the North Atlantic Alliance, making Turkey an “indispensable player” for the West. By holding three crucial meetings, the Turkish president settled his country’s western issues and secured guarantees, as well as foreign aid, from countries such as Germany and Hungary. Deutsche Welle wrote that Erdogan met closely with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with the former reportedly saying that Turkey continues its efforts to develop a spirit of solidarity with Greece based on the principle of good neighborliness and that these efforts will continue to increase.
