Latvia’s foreign minister announced that some NATO members are waiting for Trump’s inauguration to decide their stance on Ukraine. “Theoretically, we, as political leaders, have decided that Ukraine will become a member,” Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze told Reuters on the sidelines of the summit. The minister explained that the alliance will have to agree on when and under what conditions this will be done. “All the allies right now, they’re all waiting for the new American administration to start work,” he added.
