NATO-Russia meeting on Ukraine on 12 January

Meeting NATORussia on January 12 convened by the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg as he states in his Twitter post.

More specifically, Mr. Stoltenberg states: “I have convened a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council on 12 January to discuss issues related to European security, in particular the situation in / around Ukraine and issues related to national activities, mutual transparency and risk reduction “. It is “an agenda of meaningful dialogue in the interest of all of us,” he concluded.

It is pointed out that the Western military Alliance has been asking for it for a long time de-escalation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, with NATO countries accusing Moscow of concentrating its troops in the region.

The Kremlin, for its part, is asking guarantees that NATO will stop its eastward expansion and end military cooperation with Ukraine and Georgia.
